During the wedding most of the times the couple is busy meeting up with the guests and the other guests are left aside to get bored. So what can be done to keep them occupied during the reception and they can enjoy the wedding. The main thing while seating who will take the centerpiece on the table is the big question and you can make a game and activity out of it. The centerpiece when a good piece can be eyed by people at the table.
You can easily make a game of who gets the centerpiece which can be a good enjoyment for the guests and the deserving can get the centerpiece. Some of the ideas are given below to make the game of getting the centerpiece.
You can play the game of twenty questions, you can start by giving the guests the piece of paper and pen and the DJ can ask twenty questions. Initially, the DJ can give them the information about the background of the people or any place, May be it can be a national monument or a political leader or an actor. Then the people seated on the table can ask questions and the DJ can say YES or NO and the person who guesses the name first gets the centerpiece. The game can repeat for all the tables.
The bride and the groom can put the numbers on the chairs and they call out the numbers randomly and whoever is sitting on that chair gets the centerpiece. These games can be twisted in many different ways. You can give the numbers and ask one of the numbers to do certain things like dance or sing a song or some other trick. And the person with some unique activity can win the centerpiece.
The other way to enjoy can be the DJ asks the table to produce some unique item from the pockets of the people seated on the table and it can be anything from a quarter, or a mint, or certain gum packets etc. The person who gets the thing can earn the centerpiece.
The easier way can be to offer the centerpiece to the oldest person sitting on the table or to the youngest person. You may twist and give to person who has the strange talent.
You can play the old fashioned game of musical chairs or passing the parcel. Here you can give the centerpiece to the person who is out first or continue the game till the last person and he can win the centerpiece.
You can also offer the centerpiece that has his/her birthday just close to the day of the reception. Or to the person who has the longest hair or the strangest pair of shoes etc. The married couple who is longest with each other can be offered the centerpiece.
