Any wedding is incomplete without the dancing and we all look forward to the Couples first dance and the brides dance with her father. It is the time when all the members of the guests of the wedding party enjoy.
To add more enjoyment to the party wedding planners can add some more fun and surprise in the dance floor with some activities. There are many fun games and activities which you can do on the dance floor and they will give equal enjoyment to the couple, their family members and the guests.
You can try a game of “Chicken Dance”. Of course it is not an original idea but this one makes all the guests standing up from their tables and take part and this will be fun with all of the guests joining in.
The second one is the tables you are sitting on are numbered and when the DJ announces a number that number table has to get up and dance that number.
The numbers can be taped to the chair or the full table depending on the crowd at the wedding. This way all are invited to dance and they can mingle around and meet up with all the other guests.
The other activity is getting a dance instructor to the wedding reception. The instructor usually will teach the people around a little before the music starts and then they can all follow the steps. He/She can do waltz, tango, or any other form of dance.
Many people want to learn dancing and therefore most of them will like to take the chance of learning a bit from the instructor and hence will be ready to participate in the fun and frolic. This will help the guests to be more confident and learn the skills and can be ready before the dancing begins.
The other kind of fun activity is “Snowball” dance. This is a good one for every one to start. Here’s how the snowball dance works. The full wedding party heads to the dance floor for fun, the music will be fast something like a disco or a fast song that most people have heard. After few minutes the music stops and the female of the wedding reception gets one male member from the party and dance with him. And the male members get the female from the party and it is done till all the guests are on the dance floor and enjoying themselves. It’s truly a snowball effect!
